Children's Services
During 2006, Equalis ran a training
calendar specifically designed to meet the needs of
Children’s Services. This training was well received
and we have been requested to make these courses available
on cd for services to purchase.
The topics covered include: Inclusion Practices; Children's
Music,Movement and Drama; Positive Practice in Guiding
Challenging Behaviours; Lifting Techniques & Manual
Handling for Child Care Workers; and Food Safety
for Staff (Not Just Cooks).
This training resource can be used as a staff development
tool during team meetings, staff induction, or as a
method of showing evidence towards accreditation. All
courses have been mapped to relevant Children’s
Services competency elements within the Community Services
Training Package.

online for those people who are currently completing
training with us. Students and Partners will be
able to log-in and access these valuable resources
which will assist them in understanding material and
completing assessments. This process will make accessing
resources a lot easier, especially for those in remote
areas completing their course via Distance Education.
