Diploma of Children's Services now available as a funded traineeship to students in South Australia!
Great news for South Australian students... Equalis is now able to deliver the Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) as a funded traineeship to students in South Australia!
This comes as part of the State Government’s election promise to support an additional 100,000 training places over the next six years User Choice funding has been extended to a number of high level qualifications in key skill shortage areas.
This great opportunity is available to new entrants and existing workers who would like to complete a Diploma of Children’s Services and commence their training contract on or after 1 July 2010.

Positive student feedback for Webinars!
Equalis commenced the webinar pilot program last month with students from Achieve Australia completing a Certificate IV in Disability.
At the end of the first webinar we asked students to provide us with feedback on the webinar training and are pleased to say we have received 100% positive feedback on this flexible style of training.
Here is a selection of responses we have received fron students so far;
Q: Do you think the introduction of webinars will allow for you to be more flexible in your training?
A:
Yes of course, as I can access it in my own time.
A:
Yes the flexibility is good I have a young child and being able to catch up on the recording is great
A:
Absolutely!
A:
Yes, especially with everybody having different work hours.
Q: What was your overall impression of the webinar training session?
A:
I am really happy with the whole webinar
A:
It was very easy to access.
A:
I highly recommended it to all future students! It is brilliant!
A:
Relaxed – it is much more interactive than I first thought.
Q: Did you feel comfortable participating in the online webinar training? If not why?
A:
Yes, because I can say what I want to and not have to put my hand up and wait for others to speak. In a classroom when it is my turn, I often forget what I was going to ask
A:
Yes
A:
Yes especially if you're at home!
A:
Yes much more confident after the first session being in a group.
Q: In what way was the trainer able to meet your learning needs during your webinar training session?
A:
In every way...the trainer and webinar answered all my questions
A:
I only watched the recording but even just listening and learning from that to me is better than the class room
A:
The webinar let us search/look up information on the internet, we felt free to interrupt and ask questions, it encouraged my determination to achieve good results in my training.
A:
The trainer asked questions throughout the session and we all had the opportunity to respond.
Q: How do you think participating in webinars will improve your studies?
A:
It will improve my learning because I won’t have to rush to get to class...I can sit in the comfort of my home or work and do the training which will allow me to focus more.
A:
I can do the training in my home and I am much more relaxed and can concentrate better
A:
Having other work colleagues in the session listening and sharing their thoughts/ideas is great!
A:
I learn better with the online interaction with students sharing information not just learning from the books.
Q: Do you have any suggestions to help improve the webinar training program?
A: Not yet!!!
A: No
A: No and i'm a first time webinar user! Keep up the good work.
A: As of now everything is fine
